Worship Wednesday Guest Devotional

Wednesday’s devotionals are “Worship Wednesday” devotionals. Join me on stream (https://www.twitch.tv/ukuleleworship from 6:30am-7:50pm ET) for worship music and devotional time, or watch the recording. Today’s devotional is titled “When you are a worship leader… you prepare well”, and includes these Bible verses:

2 Chronicles 31:3 The king contributed from HIS OWN possessions for the morning and evening burnt offerings and for the burnt offerings on the Sabbaths…

2 Chronicles 31:4 He ordered the people living in Jerusalem to give the portion due the priests and Levites so they could devote themselves to the Law of the LORD.

2 Chronicles 31:21 In everything that he undertook in the service of God’s temple and in obedience to the law and the commands, he sought his God and worked wholeheartedly.

And I’m also going to throw in this one:

1 Peter 3:15-16 But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect, having a good conscience, so that, when you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ may be put to shame.

Check out my livestream or recording to learn what King Hezekiah has to teach us about how to prepare for worship.

I’ve gotten permission from a wonderful creator, Spencer Cormany, to share his worship leader devotionals on stream. I’ve been following Spencer’s “Leading Worship Well” channel on YouTube for quite a while. He’s candid about worship teams, and genuinely cares about getting the work/worship balance right. But since I believe we’re all made to worship, I think we can all get something out of these devotionals, even if we aren’t on a worship team. If you want your own copy of these devotionals, sign up at Spencer’s website https://www.leadingworshipwell.com . (If you want more Leading Worship Well content, find him on YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram as well.)
